Is nothing in life for free? Maybe there are some things...
FREECYCLE
So I guess some things in life are for free :)
Freecycle is a local online community usually a Google group that try to save things that would usually end up at the landfill and giving it a new home to someone that would want it.
So to the saying "One mans' trash is another's treasure" turns true in this
situation.
What do you need to do?
Well it's simple to be honest, firstly you go to one of Freecycles' sites:
Then you look for your closest group, in my case it was Newham - London - United
Kingdom
You then join this is where it may change as some are hosted
on the site and others are hosted in yahoo groups
I joined in the yahoo groups
Some sites will ask you to give a motive why you are joining
or will email you some questions such as your postcode or something about your
area, this is to confirm you are local so that locals get access to local
freebies, but not all of them require this.
You can opt on receiving individual mails, digest mail (many
emails in one but reduces the chances of you getting the things), or only by
checking online.
Once you get accepted you can then post the things you want to
get rid off from old clothes or a washing machine, hopefully all in good
condition if not you should disclose its condition, you can also request and
hopefully if you are quick enough as I warn things can vanish as soon as you
receive them in your email you can also get freebies.
I have gotten a computer desk, a TV stand furniture very
pretty and just about brand new, clothing, plates, cutlery, hangers....
Please try to just join local and respect the forum rules,
such as no selling, no redirecting to other sites, to never be rude and so on or
you can be banned from this world of free things that could save you a bundle, I
couldn't afford the things I got n Freecycle being unemployed with only my
boyfriends salary so I must say the site was a bit of a lifesaver in many
respects...
Remember this is an effort to keep as little out of the dumps as
possible as many of the things that can end up in the landfills still have a
good few years of usage in them, so it helps the environment quite a bit.
If you are in London and you found out about Freecycle by me you
could always reward me by letting me know firsthand what ur giving hehehe :) but
that's optional you aren't obliged to...
Support your local community initiatives :D
Happy Freecycling

Blog For My Creations
I have created a blog just for my jewelry creations and and anything else encase I progress, the entire idea is that you make an offer considering the following:
It's handmade;
Many peaces are unique only made once;
It can take time and pieces to make;
I am not a wholesaler nor buy in bulk so I pay normal prices for my bits and peaces to make the stuff and shipping costs;

In another part of the world UK
I am sorry for the very long absence once more, I have moved to the UK so no longer in Portugal, I hope to start blogging again but it can be hard to keep up with the blogging when I spend a lot of my time searching for work online via job sites, trying to sort things out and so on, I have had no inspiration to be honest for writing not even writing stories by hand, something I usually like doing.
I have moved from Madeira Island - Portugal to London - England - United Kingdom * UK in an attempt to try the life here, to be honest I have never really felt I fit in on my Island, but that's another story to be honest, so here I am where I once visited and once fell in love, with the UK.
I have been trying to update all my information on community websites and so on but I have so many so I am sorry if you find some still with the location as PT :(
I really do like to blog, I think I just loose inspiration a lot as the things that inspire me or make me feel clear enough to write tend to be the things I can't afford to do such as horse riding one of my biggest passions, or messing around with Photoshop as this computer is no way new enough to handle it...
I hope to keep a more updated blog, but let's hope is more than hope and turns to actual reality just like the search for a full-time job, a search that has been a big problem seeing as the job market is so saturated that someone like me with no real academic achievements or relatively little experience has very little chance of finding something, especially when one does not know her way around or where to look...
